Getting Veneers at Our Local Practice
A few sessions are required to acquire your veneers. Once you’ve attended a consultation with one of our dentists in Coquitlam, BC and they’ve approved you for the treatment, we can get started. Here is what you can expect:
- If needed,we will take x-rays and clean your teeth to eliminate amalgamated debris.
- The teeth acquiring the veneers – you can get one, two, or several shells placed – are prepped. A layer of enamel is carefully removed, roughening up the tooth’s surface. This step is essential to ensure the veneer can bond in place. However, enamel removal cannot be reversed.
- We take molds of yourteeth, so dental technicians can make shells that match your oral dimensions.
- Temporary veneers are placed over your prepared teeth. You’ll keep these on for a few weeks until the permanent shells are ready.
- We’ll have youcome back to the clinic and swap out the temporary veneers with the customized shells. They’ll be trimmed, adjusted, and polished before you go.
