How much does Invisalign costs?
We offer free consultation for Invisalign. Invisalign cost is comparable to braces. Most insurances which cover traditional braces will cover Invisalign as well. We also offer payment plan for Invisalign. You can learn more about the payment plans at the consult appointment.
How would I know if I am a good candidate for Invisalign?
Invisalign can treat a wide range of teeth mal-alignment cases including but not limited to spacing, crowding, deep bite, flared teeth etc. At Lincoln Dental Center, we do a free consult and answer all your questions.
How long does it take to finish treatment?
This varies from case to case. It can range from few months to over a year. Average time is 12-18months
How many hours a day should I wear Invisalign? Do I have to wear it at night?
You need to wear the aligner for 22 hours a day and you should wear it at night time while sleeping. It should be removed mostly for eating and brushing.
What if I don’t wear retainers after the treatment is finished?
Retainers are very important to maintain the result achieved by Invisalign. Teeth have a tendency of going back to their original position even after the treatment is all finished. Your dentist will discuss different kinds of retainer’s options with you.
I had braces in the past, but my teeth have relapsed now; can I get Invisalign to fix the relapse?
Yes, you can get Invisalign to correct relapse. Best thing will be to do a consult with your dentist to determine if you can benefit from Invisalign.
How often do I need to change trays?
This will be decided by your dentist as it may vary from case to case. Time to change trays can vary from 7 days to 14 days
What to expect at consultation appointment?
We offer free consultation for Invisalign. This consultation includes an exam by dentist and providing you all important information about Invisalign treatment. We will be happy to answer your questions regarding Invisalign.
What are the steps in Invisalign treatment?
- Consultation- This includes an exam and providing all necessary information about Invisalign treatment. All your doubts and questions will be answered.
- Record taking- This includes intra oral pictures, X-ray and impressions for Invisalign.
- Reviewing your Invisalign digital treatment plan- 2 weeks after the records appointment you will have an appointment to see your customized digital treatment plan. At this appointment you can see a step-by step transformation of your smile.
- Approval- Once you approve the plan and decide to go ahead with the treatment your unique aligners will be fabricated.
- Payment plan- When you have made a decision of doing Invisalign our staff will help you to make a custom payment plan.
- First tray- At your first tray appointment, attachments will be placed on your teeth and first tray will be inserted. You will be taught how to wear and take out the trays. All do’s and don’ts will be discussed. A full customized schedule will be given to you with dates when you need to start next tray.
- Follow up in 2 weeks to address any concerns you might have from first tray.
Follow up appointments will be booked to assess your treatment progress. Number and frequency of follow up appointments varies and is customized by your doctor.
When we have achieved the desired result attachments will be removed and models will be taken for retainers.
How long do I have to wear retainers?
The dentist will recommend the duration or retention of the teeth.
Is INVISALIGN painful?
It is very comfortable, but some people might experience mild pressure on first few days of new tray. It doesn’t pinch on lips and cheeks like traditional braces which makes it more comfortable
